My goal is to help individuals and business owners to first define their financial goals, and then put in place strategies to help meet those goals. Ultimately, my primary concern is to help you gain a sense of confidence in developing a plan designed to help you meet your financial hopes and dreams.

After earning a business degree from University of Memphis (then Memphis State), Rich took a corporate position, but soon recognized the need to exert his independence. Pursuing a career in financial services was a natural fit for Rich, who had an entrepreneurial bent even as a teen. It was his father, Hermon, a lifelong insurance agent who encouraged him to consider a career in financial services. In 1996, Rich finally took the leap. Within a year or two, convinced that he needed to take a more holistic approach to his clients’ financial affairs, Rich began studying for and achieved the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.

In 2010 Rich affiliated with Capital Financial Group. He is a founding member of Continuum Planning Partners, which is a division of Capital Financial Group.

Rich and his wife, Debbie, have 4 children, Olivia, Jackson, Ethan (triplets) and their youngest Charlie. Raising and providing for four children has been an education in and of itself. Rich knows the importance of being prepared. It’s a philosophy that aligns well with his work as a financial planning professional.

Rich juggles his practice with family time and a love of sports, particularly snow skiing, basketball and tennis.

When clients come to me with an unexpected life event, I am well prepared to guide you through the resulting decision-making process. I would rather have a proactive conversation about the unexpected rather than a reactive one. After all, I am no stranger to life’s little surprises. When my wife, Debbie and I, were expectant parents, we received a not-so-little surprise of our own: triplets!

Raising and providing for (now four) children has been an education in and of itself. As blessed as I feel, it was an adjustment. I know the importance of being prepared. It’s a philosophy that aligns well with my work as a financial planning professional. When I go through the planning process with my clients, there is great personal satisfaction from knowing there is a plan. I can always sense the relief that washes over as we start to understand what it will take to help accomplish goals.

Building successful relationships with clients is at the core of my practice. Today, I focus my practice on serving the unique financial planning needs of business owners, professionals and retirees. Having a plan helps to assure clients that though they may not know what surprises are in store, we can help prepare for the unexpected.
